SOMNOTOL
The following is a dosage chart for IP injection
of Somnotol [65 mg/ml] in rats. The dosage for
females is 35 mg/kg. The dosage for males is 50 mg/kg. Some researchers
routinely administer higher doses to induce anaesthesia
(50 & 65 mg/kg for females and males respectively).

Somnotol is a suitable anaesthetic for procedures which can be completed in approximately 1 hour. Supplemental injections of 1/4 the induction dose may be administered, but the risk of overdose rises sharply.
