AVERTIN RECIPE
STORE IN REFRIGERATOR.
Supplements of 1/4 the initial dose are usual, although larger supplemental dosages may be required.
Avertin is an irritant, especially when used at high doses or repeatedly. Adhesions are sometimes seen in the abdominal cavity after IP injections. Tribromoethanal degrades inthe presence of heat and/or light and can become toxic. Exercise the following precautions.
Prepare Avertin using Sterile Water.
Protect Avertin from heat and light. Store Avertin in a dark or covered bottle in the refrigerator.
Do not use Avertin that is more than 2 weeks old.
pH below 5 indicates that the Tribromoethanol has degraded.
