Executive Positions


President:
The President is responsible for the overall running of the society.
S/he ensures that the Society Room is accessible to as many students as possible and that everything is running in order.
S/he acts as a liason between the department and the society, keeps the members of the society informed
and runs/organizes meetings.

Vice President:
The Vice President is the President's right hand man/woman.
S/he helps the President in any way possible, and fills in for the President when s/he cannot be present.

Treasurer:
The Treasurer is responsible for the overseeing of the Society's bank account.
S/he manage a record book of deposits and withdrawls, is required to make all bank deposits
and is the keeper of the Society's the bank card and cheque book.

Secretary:
The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes during meetings and obtaining copies of all papers.
S/he then must forward meeting information to the Communications Rep for distribution to the Society Members.

Academic Rep:
The Academic Rep is a liason between the students and the professors.
S/he is responsible for sending out e-mails to profs to announce information in class,
and if any student has an academic-related questions, this rep will forward them to the appropriate person.

Social Rep:
The Social Rep is responsible for the overall organiation of the Society's major activities.
S/he is responsible for getting into contact with the locations/organizations the Society will be involved with,
and bringing necessary information back to the Executive.

Public Relations Rep:
The Public Relations Rep is the Society's direct link to the student body.
S/he will be the person who ensures that all the posters are displayed throughout campus,
and will also be in charge of announcing upcoming Society events during Psychology classes.

Communications Rep:
The Communications Rep is responsible for the Mailing List, Society E-mail Account, and the Web Site.
S/he must have a working knowledge of HTML in order to do required matinence on all three.
